It’s been a while…

I haven’t posted since June apparently.  I’d say this was because I was off enjoying the Polish summer, or travelling somewhere exotic.  However, the summer was actually pretty poor this year, and at least feels like it was shorter than normal.  I also didn’t go anywhere exotic, just back to the U.K. for a week to visit family and show my brother-in-law around.

Despite not being exotic, the weather was actually pretty good and it was a great trip back.  We spent hours walking around various towns and cities, and even more hours eating all the English food we could!

We spent a day in London, and walked to Wimbledon, then took a tube back to Westminster, from there we walked all the way along the South Bank, until we reached Tower Bridge and went to see the Tower of London.  Then took a tube back to St. James Park and saw Buckingham Palace, and walked up to Trafalgar Square, then Leicester Square and Chinatown, before stopping for a coffee in Piccadilly.  It was a long day with a ton of walking!

I’ve also been trying to learn html in the hope of completely redoing my website.  It’s become pretty slow and seems to take ages to load now.  Probably due to all the pictures I guess.  It’s a work in progress and I’ll be working on it for some time, transferring all the posts and pictures over.  It will be a gradual process and I’ll probably change my mind several times along the way.

This past weekend, my wife & I decided to go hiking.  She choose the highest mountain in the Beskid range to start us off and I’ll tell you about that next time!
