I grew up in a small village called Farncombe, Surrey, UK and moved to Poland in January 2011, just after I had turned 30. Initially on a 9 month secondment with work, I’m still here and loving it!
I met a girl from a tiny hamlet just outside Krakow, called Targowisko, and fell in love with both the girl and the village.
Having been married in August 2012, in another village, Tymowa, this website documents my journey through the past years in and around Targowisko.
Also included are various pictures from other areas of Poland, and neighbouring countries.
I am not a professional photographer, nor do I assume to be any good and these photos are purely meant to show a side of Poland that many visitors do not see.
I’ve worked for several companies in Krakow, at management levels and been responsible for teams of upto 70 people. I like to think that I have a good handle on the local work practices and market.
I enjoy travelling, although I despise flying and airports and living in Krakow gives me excellent access to several European countries within a few hours drive. You can read more detailed reviews on my travels on Tripadvisor – https://www.tripadvisor.com/members/Cabbij80
